She is an obedient daughter, a caring sister, and a trustworthy friend. The story revolves around Jyoti, a young girl who is the sole earning member of her family. Her family consists of two younger sisters, an irresponsible younger brother, a handicapped father and the mother. The mother would prefer Jyoti to stay unmarried as she is worried about the future of family in case Jyoti were to get married and leave the household. Being clueless of these selfish emotions, Jyoti loves her family and shoulders the responsibilities happily. She sacrifices her own dreams and aspirations to fulfil every need of her family. She gracefully faces all obstacles and does more than any son would ever do. Despite disturbing incidents, she strives forward with her undying positive attitude and continues to shine, yielding light to the lives of the people around her.
